Maintenance Technician II

📍 Location

Seguin, Texas - On-site position with 2nd shift schedule (Monday-Thursday, 4:30pm-3:00am). Overtime as business needs. 10% shift premium included.

Answer work orders to maintain facility and equipment supporting Caterpillar diesel engine production
Respond to service requests and operational calls for troubleshooting/diagnosing problems with assembly systems
Coordinate with Level III Technicians to provide training and mentoring for Level I Maintenance Technicians
Use CMMS-generated preventive maintenance worksheets to maintain production facilities machinery
Operate, troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical assembly equipment including fork trucks, conveyors, and robotic equipment
Complete CMMS work order documentation for complete work history and parts inventory tracking
Maintain a safe work environment by documenting and correcting potential safety issues
Submit and assist with Continuous Improvement cards

Four years of work experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing Industrial electrical/electronic production and material-handling equipment
Understanding of lockout/tagout procedures and OSHA regulations
Ability to read and understand mechanical and building blueprints, as well as electrical schematics
Mechanical knowledge of basic machines, pneumatics, hydraulics, gears, reducers, bearings, and lubrication theory
Knowledge of all phases of cutting and welding
Good organization skills, computer skills (Word and Excel), and basic math skills (Algebra)
Must be willing and able to climb to levels above the shop floor or use a man-lift as needed
Must successfully complete a background, drug screen and medical screening
