I thrive on identifying high-impact problems and proving solutions through rapid, AI-augmented prototyping and validation cycles
When building at scale, you have to build the right stuff. The most expensive mistakes in enterprise product development are treating scratches, not wounds. I compress discovery and validation into rapid cycles – identifying the root problems (the wounds), building working prototypes, and proving solutions before engineering commit to production.
Through AI-augmented research, prompt engineering, and hands-on prototyping, I ensure enterprise teams build with confidence, not assumptions.
I'm different from most product designers because I've developed resilience and independence - navigating multiple organisational restructures over the past 5 years has honed my ability to operate with incomplete information, drive initiatives without heavy PM support, and evolve my process rapidly to stay valuable despite industry upheaval. I'm comfortable with change and complexity because I've navigated both consistently.
Companies hire me when they need someone who can treat the wounds, not just the scratches – identifying root problems in ambiguous enterprise environments where the loudest voices aren't always highlighting the most impactful issues.
I embraced AI-augmented workflows while most designers were still sceptical. The AI-augmented part of my practice means speed without sacrificing depth. AI-augmented research and prototyping lets me: Synthesise multiple user interviews in hours not weeks; Build interactive coded prototypes for validation; Run more iteration cycles in less time; Gives me more time on strategic thinking and user contact, less on the grind of execution.
After6 weeksResearch incl. synthesis, coded interactive prototypes and multiple rounds of validation
Concrete example
Agentic Sourcing development – 6 weeks from initial research through 30 user interviews, synthesis, coded prototypes, and validation testing. Traditional process would have taken 3-4 months before even reaching engineering.
Large organisations have a high noise-to-signal ratio - problems being talked about are often symptoms of deeper causes. Treating symptoms (the scratches) might satisfy stakeholders short-term, but addressing root problems (the wounds) delivers lasting value. A research-led, rapid validation approach cuts through organisational complexity to find true leverage points before committing engineering resources to the wrong solutions.
My approach...
Identifying root problems - Not just what users say they want, but the underlying strategic opportunities others may miss.
Deep user research + AI-accelerated synthesis
Competitive/market analysis
Stakeholder mapping & strategic framing
Output: Clear problem identified + hypothesis formulated
Proving solutions rapidly - Building just enough to validate concepts before deep engineering investment.
Ideation – Low friction, high energy team sessions
Interactive prototyping - Built with AI-augmentation
User validation + AI-accelerated synthesis
Natural language prompt engineering & testing (MLflow)
Output: (In)validated approach + learnings
Directing the build - Ensuring fidelity from prototype to production, especially where I have deeper expertise.
Refine with team - scope deliverables and sequencing, agree on compromises and non-negotiables.
Review designs during implementation
Own and refine natural language prompts
User test both pre-production and production builds
I will continue to populate the rest of this section over the coming days/weeks

My reputation...
VP Product, Beamery
"Hi Tim. Just got off of a call with Accenture and shared some feedback I thought I would pass along. She found your session on permissions the most productive session she has had with Beamery. She said this was the most heard she has felt, as she could see you noting things on the board and changing as you discussed. Nice work..."
Colleagues, Beamery Hackathon

VP Product, Beamery
"The team is getting well deserved kudos, but wanted to send you both another 'well done'. Taking both the Peoples' Choice and the Judges Choice is a strong signal"
Ryland Cook, VP Product, Beamery
"Tim is exactly the type of designer you want on your team. Curious, proactive, driven, and someone who really thinks through the problem they're solving to ensure it actually solves user's needs (something that often gets left out once walls of feedback from multiple stakeholders start pouring in)"
Ryland Cook, VP Product, Beamery
"Most importantly, of all the designers I've managed throughout my career, Tim is the one who takes feedback the most seriously and actually applies it to their work, their abilities, and their career. He listens, analyses, makes a decision, and applies the feedback however he sees fit"
Ryland Cook, VP Product, Beamery
"He's a talented designer who evolves in the right direction with the natural ebb and flow of a company, and will thrive on your team. I'd happily hire Tim again, and am more than happy to chat with anyone considering him for a role on your team"
Andrey Sundiev, Design Director, Beamery
"I had the pleasure of working with Tim at Beamery for almost five years, both as a peer and later as his direct manager. Tim is a rare combination of a seasoned professional, a curious and creative thinker, and a genuinely wonderful human being. He's someone I would trust with end-to-end ownership of complex, high-stakes projects—and just as importantly, someone I truly enjoyed working with day to day. His empathy toward both peers and customers is instinctive and authentic, and his support had a meaningful, lasting impact on the wellbeing of our design team, especially during some of our most challenging periods"
Andrey Sundiev, Design Director, Beamery
"What truly sets Tim apart is his versatility and openness to challenge. He is comfortable wearing many hats and consistently drives impact at multiple levels. I've seen him step in to cover for a PM, contribute to code, and support fellow designers—always knowing when to step up to unblock progress without burning himself out or overstepping. That balance is rare. Any organisation would be lucky to have Tim. You'll gain an experienced, strategically minded design generalist and an exceptional teammate—a real catch"
Head of Design, Beamery
"Man it has been an absolute pleasure to watch you grow as a designer since you joined Beamery. You've come an incredibly long way and I'm so pumped to see it. You're an awesome individual and I always look forward to your updates! Keep killing it."
VP Design, Beamery
"Tim, We've discussed this many times, but the transformation you've made in the past year is wild. If you look back on the first presentation you gave, to how you create & present work now, it's night and day. All the pieces and experience were already there, but the initiative you took to drive your skills upwards continues to impress me."
Senior Product Designer, Beamery
"I'm always so impressed by your problem solving skills and innovation mindset. The hackathon winning project is a perfect example of this. It's so cool to see how you tackle solving problems and using the technology to assist with this rather than guide the solution"
I worked closely with Tim across several important product initiatives. He brings a rare mix of creativity and pragmatism, with a strong instinct for understanding real user problems and translating them into effective solutions.
Tim is highly result-driven and consistently focused on making tangible improvements to the product. A great example of this was the redesign of our campaign builder, one of the most complex and long-standing parts of the product. Tim played a key role in significantly improving the user experience, cutting through complexity and driving meaningful progress rather than superficial change.
Working with Tim pushed me to think more deeply about user needs and approach solutions more fundamentally. He's a thoughtful collaborator and someone who makes the team better by being part of it. I'd strongly recommend Tim to any product team looking for a designer who delivers impact.
UX Researcher, Beamery
"I appreciate how sensitive you are to others on team calls, making sure everyone's voice is heard, and also always actively contribute to the team being a safe space to share ideas and ask questions. I can also see from afar how serious you are about user research which is truly awesome."
Haseena Pokkathil Abdul Khader, Senior Software Engineer, Beamery
"Tim is a standout UX Developer who consistently elevates our projects at Beamery. He has a 'big picture' mindset, anticipating user needs and technical constraints across all scenarios. He's my go-to person for feedback because he's highly approachable and never just says 'no' to a change; instead, he offers alternative paths and fresh perspectives. His flexibility and design-thinking make him a massive asset to the product team"
Design Ops Manager, Beamery
"Tim, I've always been impressed by your proactiveness and passion! You never just accept the status quo, but make your own considerations and decisions. Your feedback and suggestions have always been a great help to the design system!"
Design Ops, Beamery
